Speed Dating Questions Secret Friends Guide

Speed Dating Questions To Ask A Potential Date

By Julia Barnes

Speed dating questions can be listed before you meet potential dates on the speed dating merry go round. You can list a number of questions, starting with soft questions like work, car and favourite drink. If you are still interested you can move to the harder questions like what they expect from a date, what they think of marriage and children.

Before you ask any of these questions, you need to work out if you are definitely interested and you like what you see. If you do not like what you see, then do not bother asking too many questions. If you are looking to go on a future date, then you can start asking the questions, to have a good idea of the type of date you may have.

If you are looking to find out where you can go speed dating, you can go online and do a search for speed dating and find out if there are dating agencies running speed dating sessions in your area.

Preparing To Attending A Speed Dating Session

Though not everyone loves dating, some are good at it. However, the majority of people have no idea what they are doing, and they do as many things good as they do bad. That is understandable, and it can lead some to other forms of dating to cut right to the chase.

Speed dating is one thing that many have tried, and you can still find it today. It is not always the answer to bad dating technique, but having the right speed dating questions can up your chances of meeting someone you may actually be compatible with in the long run.

Short Time Allocated To Meet Someone

In speed dating, you may have a limited time to talk with someone. You may have ten, twenty, or thirty minutes. Some have shorter and longer time tables. Everyone has their own idea of how much speed you should be using in this type of dating.

If you have your speed dating questions thought out, you can make the most of the short time that you have to talk to someone. We generally know a lot about our compatibility with someone within the first ten minutes, but that is usually about physical chemistry and larger personality issues. It does not get into the good stuff.

Important Speed Dating Questions To Ask

You have to think about what matters the most to you when you think about what speed dating questions you want to ask. One important question might be where someone sees themselves in five years.

Are they looking for a long term relationship, and possibly marriage if things work out, or are they in it for the moment with no real thoughts to the future? That question alone can tell you if you want to see someone again or not. Those thoughts have to match up or you may as well throw in the towel. Ask those speed dating questions first.

Ask Questions That Bother Most Couples

You should also list what means the most to you when you draft your speed dating questions. If having children is important, ask about if someone wants them or not. If you don’t want to have any, you won’t want to see someone again who wants to have four or five as soon as they get married.

You can ask about the things that bother couples the most like money issues, family styles, work and career, and political and religious beliefs. They can be hard to ask, but these speed dating questions can really tell you if you met someone worth dating again or not.

Ask The Soft Easy Questions First

If you do not want to ask hard confronting questions, so as not to antagonize a potential date, you may start with soft questions, like what they do for a living, what is their favourite drink and their car. If you find the answers appealing, you may ask some of the harder questions or wait to see if you will mutually agree to meet again, then you may ask the harder questions.

You may not have the time to go through all your questions, so if you want to meet the potential date again and you are vaguely interested, then you may start with the soft questions. Remember, ninety percent of a conversation is with the eyes, do you like what you see? If you don’t like too many aspects of the potential date, then do not waste time asking questions.

But if you find the potential date appealing and want to meet again, then ask your speed dating questions.

Did You Know?

What is some helpful advice for the first date?
The best advice for a first date is to be you. Strike that. Be a slightly flashier version of who you really are. That means use your manners, do not drag previous relationship baggage out on the date and do not…absolutely do not…compare your date to your ex.

At the very least do not do so to their face, it will not go over so well. If you have not ever been on a date, you are fifty years old and live in a house filled with cats: you do not have to have total disclosure on the very first date.

Relax, take it easy and enjoy meeting someone new. They may not turn into a long term relationship but you can at least have fun.
