Hand Reading Online Dating Secret Friends Guide
Hand Reading With Interpretation Of Mounts
By Jane Mineralis
From the 1920s to the 1960s, the Palmograph Fortune
Chart poster was a popular guide to the various techniques
in hand reading. On the thin yellowed newsprint, aspiring
palm reading experts could learn all the lines and mounts
of the hand.
They could learn to interpret measurements of the digits,
the fingers and the palm. They would learn how to tell
if a hand was "Saturnine," "Mercurian"
or "Lunar." The mounts under each finger could
also be interpreted for a glimpse into the future as
well. In fact, there’s a lot more to palmistry than
understanding the three main lines.
Reading by hand shape is one technique to use. Hand
shapes can be divided into four types, which are Fire/Artistic,
Water/Psychic, Earth/Practical and Air/Philosophical.
A Fire hand, where the hand is rectangular or square
with smooth skin and fingers that are shorter than the
length of the hand, exhibits high energy, creativity,
short temper and ambition.
Earth, Philosophical And Psychic Hands
Broad, square palms and fingers with coarse skin and
fingers equal to the length of the palm could be an
Earth hand, which signifies someone who is practical,
calm, steady, reliable, productive and stubborn.
Air/Philosophical hands have long fingers, knobby knuckles,
low-set thumbs and dry skin; this person is creative,
practical, intuitive, communicative and pensive. Water/Psychic
hands are short, often oval-shaped with long, flexible
fingers and smooth skin; these people are sensitive,
idealistic, emotional and loving.
Line Of Intuition And Travel Lines
In addition to the heart, head and life lines that
everyone knows, hand reading is also comprised of some
finer lines, just as the soul is comprised of finer
nuances. For instance, the Line of Intuition runs along
the Mount of the Moon, which is parallel to the Health
Line, and indicates psychic ability.
Travel lines -- the short horizontal creases between
the wrist and the heart line -- represent trips taken,
with deeper lines signifying more important trips. Union
lines between the heart line and the bottom of the pinky
finger indicate close relationships. The Girdle of Venus
running under the ring and middle fingers to end between
the middle and pointer finger shows an ability to manipulate.
Looking For Over And Under Developed Mounts
Other techniques of hand reading may include an interpretation
of the round "mounts" beneath each finger.
Readers will look for over or under-developed mounts
to review and understand more about a person’s
sex drive, health, ambitions, imaginativeness, sense
of duty, communication style or artistry.
They may also look for creases that show correlations
with diseases or illnesses, such as Noonan syndrome,
Patau syndrome, Edward’s syndrome, Cri Du Chat syndrome,
Down syndrome and Aarskog-Scott syndrome.
Often, palm reading experts will examine the length
of the fingers, the shape of the thumb and the development
of the nails to understand more about a person’s ambitions
and ability to see projects through.

More Palm Reading Facts....
What are the major lines on your hand that are used
in palm reading?
There are three major lines running
along your hand that are used in palm reading. The first
is the life line. It is the largest line that comes
up from the base of your palm and generally curves around
the thumb. The second is the head line.
The head line is usually found
bisecting your palm from left to right, or vice versa.
The final major line is the heart line. It is found
above the head line and generally starts at the edge
of your palm farthest away from your thumb and runs
toward your index finger.
Each line represents some different
aspect of your body, your past and your future. But
these are not the only lines found on your hand that
are used to interpret your reading.
