For example, you may have missed an episode of your
favourite television program, all you need to do is
search for the site for the show online and search for

Another appealing fact of chatting online, is that
you get to meet a bigger variety of people, people who
are not part of your social circle and therefore you

I’ve been shy around new people ever since I was a
kid. I’ve always had trouble making friends because
of my shyness, and have led a pretty lonely life as
a result. My parents were sure this was something I
would "grow out of", but I’m in my thirties
now and am as much of a wallflower as ever.
Recently, however, things are starting to look up.

I’ve discovered that it’s a lot easier
for me to be friendly and engaging when I’m sitting
behind a keyboard than when I’m in a room full
of strangers. That makes sense, as I don’t have
to worry about my clothes or my looks when I am online.
I can just be myself in these free chat rooms without
having the superficial stuff get in the way. When I’m
chatting online, my real personality is allowed to shine
through, and it feels like I’m finally breaking out
of my shell.
Sharing Same Interests
There are tons of free chat rooms out there, so choosing
a few to hang out, was easy enough. I just picked sites
where other participants shared my same interests, and
now find myself engaging in spirited virtual conversations
about everything from the latest films and books to
my favorite television shows, celebrities, and sports.
When I want to be a bit more serious, I can head off
to different sites for discussions about politics, religion,
or current events. I’m telling you, there are free chat
rooms for every topic under the sun!
Meeting New Friends Online
The best part of frequenting the same free chat rooms
over and over again is that I encounter many of the
same people. As a result, I’m getting to know some of
them fairly well, and might even go so far as to say
that they’re my friends.
Sure, we’ve never met in real life, but we’ve had wonderful
conversations on a daily basis -- which is much more
contact than I usually have with people. Some of my
online friendships that began in free chat rooms have
even progressed to e-mail and instant messenger. That’s
truly a lot more than I ever expected to happen!
Connecting With People And Creating Meaningful Friendships
Though I’m still a shy person at heart, at least
now I know I don’t have to be lonely anymore.
Thanks to all the free chat rooms I’ve found,
I can connect with others who share and review the same
interests, hobbies, and passions.
I’ve started to develop meaningful friendships, and
who knows, maybe I’ll gather enough courage to hit a
singles chat room soon. The bottom line here is that
I should have started doing this a long time ago!
Meeting People In Your Town In Online Chat Rooms
Apart from sharing similar interests, I find people
living in my town in free chat rooms. I have now met
some of these people and we even have get togethers
where all the chat friends meet in one social location.
People come from different towns, so we can all meet
together, all in one place. Now we know what we all
the regulars look like.
Sometimes when you are online, you may see a stranger
come into the chat room and be rude to people. This
is the time when we call the moderator, to kick the
rude person out. I have been online for a long period
of time now, and I have been asked to become a moderator,
but I declined as I cannot guarantee that I will be
online at a specific time to control a chat room.
There are times when the system goes down and no one
can get into the chat rooms, so we wait for the server
to be repaired, before we can get back online. When
we can't get into a chat room, we all move onto ICQ
and chat online with ICQ and even use live web cams
to chat online.
Start A New Relationship Online
I have found coming online, much easier to meet new
friends and even get dates with people who are not in
my social circles, I would not otherwise meet. Some
of these online dates have progressed to physical dates,
where a relationship blossomed. This is how I met my
new love.
By taking the chance and meet online, I was able to
start a healthy relationship, just by visiting free
chat rooms.
