For Divorce Online Dating Secret Friends Guide
Filing For Divorce And Making Plans
By Janine Jensenoris
For divorce to happen, there are usually some fairly
standard reasons. Your spouse may be cheating. You may
be cheating. It could be a continuous fight over finances
and spending habits. Many times, the divorcing couple
simply has had enough and believes that a fresh start
outside of the marriage is needed.
Divorce court sees a lot of different reasons for a
couple to seek a separation and divorce. Yours may not
be based on physical, mental or emotional abuse but
it does not make your reasons for divorcing any less
valid. You are an adult and you can review your options
and make your own decisions.
Online Divorce Forms
Divorce court, or family law court, is where the decree
for divorce will occur. However, for an uncontested
divorce, many couples avoid using an attorney by filing
the paperwork themselves. You can find online divorce
forms on many websites.
The websites often will list the laws for your particular
state and you can get advice on how to proceed. But
if you are filing for a divorce, and you know that there
are going to be arguments over property, finances or
children, then you need to find a good divorce attorney
to guide you through the steps of terminating your
marriage.
Moving Out Of The Home
The first step to becoming separated divorced is to
make plans to move out of the home. One of you has to
move out of the home and you have to be living apart
for a set amount of days.
Divorce laws vary from state to state so you need to
check with your attorney on how long you and your partner
must be living apart before the divorce papers can be
filed. During this time of separation, both parties
need to get their finances in order. In uncontested
divorces both parties come to mutual agreements on real
estate, custody, child support and debts.
Seek A Divorce Mediation Professional
If you and your partner are not able to come to an
agreement peacefully, then you may require the help
of a divorce mediation professional. The professional
will sit down with both you and your spouse, along with
your attorneys, and try to come to an agreement over
disputed items. If you can come to an agreement it is
best for everyone. If you cannot, then it will have
to go before a judge who will make the decision for
you and your spouse.
After the paperwork for divorce has been filed with
the family law court, you have to wait. Depending on
how busy the court docket is, will determine how long
it will take for your case to come before a judge.
Once the judge has reviewed the paperwork submitted
by both your attorney and your spouse’s attorney, then
he or she will grant the decree for ending the marriage.
At that point you are officially single and no longer
obligated to a spouse.
