Chinese Zodiac Signs Online Dating Secret Friends Guide
Chinese Zodiac Signs Are Animals And Rotated Every Year
By Jane Mineralis
Once upon a time there was the Jade King. He wanted
to see a representation of earth's animals so he sent
out invitations for specific animals to come to his
court. The rat was given two invitations, one for himself
and one for the cat. The rat being the devious and clever
sort decided not to give the cat his invitation.
The other 11 animals that were sent invitations showed
up at court. The King wanted to know where the 12th
animal was so a messenger was sent to earth to get one
more animal. The pig was given the last invitation.
These animals were, and still are, the representations
of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs.
Animals In Chinese Zodiac Signs
The Chinese zodiac signs are animals that represent
one year of the cycle. The cycle works on a twelve year
rotation with 2008 being the beginning of the cycle
and being the year of the rat.
The twelve signs are rat, ox, tiger, dragon, dog, pig,
ram (or sheep), goat, rabbit, snake, horse and monkey,
listed in no particular order. For those in Eastern
cultures, the Chinese zodiac is relative to many celebrations
and even how they live their lives.
Compatible Zodiac Signs
With zodiac signs there are many factors that people
read up on everyday. They look for their daily horoscope
to see what the day may hold for them in the way of
financial decisions, details on how their day or month
will go and even about compatible zodiac signs for their
love interests.
Some people take these readings lightly, while others
believe wholeheartedly in what their readings say. Could
it be a case of prognostication coming through because
of the power of belief in the reading? With zodiac signs,
there is a devout following in both China and the rest
of the world.
Compatibility Between Zodiac Signs
The compatibility between the zodiac sign of an individual
and that of a romantic interest is probably the most
sought after information. People base their entire romantic
decisions and mates based on zodiac sign compatibility.
Many people pay for readings from such places as

just to see how their romantic life will progress.
The cat eventually made his appearance once he figured
out that the rat had cheated him out of his invitation,
but alas, it was too late for the poor cat to become
one of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs. His spot had been
given to the pig. You may not believe this fanciful
tale of animals and a mythical Jade King but it still
makes for an interesting read.
A Chinese zodiac sign does not have to be taken as
gospel because not everything is set in stone. There
is room for error because each individual person is
different and many options to review. Perhaps there
is more to the story of the cat and the rat. You will
have to research it to find out more.

What is the history behind zodiac signs?
Long before there were mystical
fortune tellers telling tales of woe and prosperity
based on your zodiac sign, there were the constellations
themselves. The stars were used as navigational devices
for brave explorers searching through uncharted
territory.
Around 2 million BC in Mesopotamia
Western astrology got its start but it was not until
the Greeks and Ptolemy that our modern day horoscope
gained in popularity and meaning. It was at this time
that there was a cosmic influence that determined your
bearing and stature in life.
