Adult slumber parties with your girl friends is always
appealing to many of my friends. It is the only time
we can talk about anything and help each other with
any problems. As I know a lot of the girls from my childhood,
I feel very comfortable discussing with them a myriad

Now that we are all grown up and married, I spend less
time with my female friends. That was until I hit upon
the idea of adult slumber parties. Now, we hold these
events regularly among my closest friends. At least
once every couple of months.

As we are all leading our lives, there are times when
you want to relax and exchange ideas with your closest
friends. You may have a problem, and a solution may
quickly be found when you discuss it with your best
friends.
I have always found, trying to solve a problem alone
is much more difficult than when you are discussing
the problem with your friends and hear a variety of
viewpoints, opening your mind to different ideas. This
way, it is much easier to find solutions.
Sat Around Eating Chips And Dips, Cookies, Pizza And
Watching Movies
We all remember, as kids, attending those girlie slumber
parties, where we sat around eating chips and dips,
cookies, pizza and watching movies. Plenty of giggles
and pillow fights added up to a whole lot of fun. Gossip
was an essential.
Just because we’ve now grown up is no reason that the
slumber party can’t be replicated. Adult slumber parties
can be just as much fun. So what’s the difference between
these childhood parties and the grown up version, the
adult slumber party? Let’s take a look.
Ladies Organize Your Adult Slumber Party
Men don’t generally go in for these types of adult
social occasions. Their version is watching the sports
events. On the other hand, women never seem to outgrow
the chat over the fence, exchanging what men regard
as inconsequential news.
So the next time the guys are planning the Saturday
night football get together, you ladies can organize
your adult slumber party! A girl’s night out at one
of your homes.
Brings Your Own Pillow
What do you need for your adult slumber party? A few
good friends, some party food and a little entertainment
is about it. If some of you don’t have a sleeping bag,
borrow from the kids. Everyone brings their own pillow.
Holding an adult slumber party brings out the kid in
you. You still enjoy the same menus, but if you want
to make your party a little more sophisticated, you
can put a little gourmet pizazz into the mix.
Organizing The Party Food
Make it an all ladies night, with some deli goodies
and a few microwaveable exotics, such as lasagna, puff
pastries and bite sized tasties – things you don’t usually
include in your normal shopping cart. Make a pot of
coffee and you’re all set.
Another way you can organize your menu is with a pot
luck event, so no one has much work to do for the happening.
Just coordinate your dishes, so you don’t end up with
ten pounds of potato salad. You can make it really easy
and just order a couple of pizzas and divvy up the cost.
A Regular Event
Adult slumber parties are so much fun, you might want
to hold one once a month. Make it a regular event!
As for entertainment, you can vary it from party to
party. It is a perfect opportunity to rent a ’woman’s’
movie, meaning one your spouse thinks is sappy, like
epic romances and the like. Do an online virtual makeover.
You may decide to update your hair style, or experiment
with new makeup products.
Varying Your Party Ideas And Themes
Hold a wine tasting party and get up to speed on the
intricacies of pairing, tasting and serving. If someone
in your group is a talented crafter, ask them to teach
a mini class so everyone can learn how it’s done. Everyone
has a hobby, so this could be a rotating entertainment
plan.
So while the guys are sitting around getting rowdy
and yelling about football – at someone else’s house,
organize your adult slumber party. The ladies need a
night out too!
Organizing An Adult Slumber Party
You do not have to spend hours sitting alone in an
empty house while your husband is out with the guys.
You can ring the wives of your husbands’ friends and
ask them to come to your house and have an adult slumber
party.
The first slumber party may be fairly basic, but if
you make it a regular event, then change the party theme
to keep everyone interested. For example, if you know
one of the girls is about to get married, you may even
hold a small slumber shower party where you can all
present her with gifts for her wedding. An adult slumber
party held at home, may be more fun than a bachelorette
party in an expensive restaurant.
Financial Restrictions Should Not Affect Your Relationships
These days, where many people are unsure if they can
keep their jobs, it may be much cheaper to hold an adult
slumber party at home with your closest friends, rather
than hiring an expensive reception venue.
You do not have to spend large amounts of money you
do not have, by paying all your expenses with the plastic
fantastic credit card. By holding the party at home,
with your closest friends, you can ensure you do not
spend a small fortune, just to stay close to your friends.
